Numbers can be manipulated. They can be projected, exaggerated, or cherry-picked to tell a story. I know this. So when I evaluated Vital Health, I did not just take the numbers at face value. I looked at the trajectory. I looked at what the numbers meant.

The trajectory is this. Year one in 2022: $1.4 million. Year two in 2023: $4.2 million. Year three in 2024: $41.5 million. Year four in 2025: around $100 million.

That is not normal. That is not even close to normal.

The first thing the numbers tell you is that the infrastructure was built before the growth happened. The Hermosillo manufacturing facility was operational in 2019. The product was being refined for years before launch. The company grew because it was ready to grow, not because it got lucky with timing.

The second thing the numbers tell you is that the growth is not based on debt. Vital Health is currently debt-free. No outside investors. No venture capital with their own exit agenda. The founders built it clean. That means every dollar of growth is real growth, not growth funded by money that will need to be repaid.

Third, the jump from $4.2M to $41.5M in a single year is almost a 10x increase. That does not happen without the infrastructure to support it. Companies that try to grow 10x without real infrastructure collapse under the weight of their own success. Supply chains fail, customer service breaks down, comp plan gets disrupted. Vital Health handled it.

Infrastructure-First vs Momentum-First

Most companies in this space grow the other way. They launch fast, build hype, recruit aggressively, and figure out the infrastructure later. Sometimes they make it. Often they do not.

The problem with momentum-first growth is that everything is fragile. When something breaks, and something always breaks, there is nothing solid underneath to hold it up.

Infrastructure-first is harder. It takes longer to get started. But when the growth comes, it is real and it is durable.

What This Means for Builders

When I am talking to someone who has been burned before, one of the first things they want to know is whether this is real. The numbers are my answer. Not because numbers cannot lie, but because this particular trajectory is very hard to fake.

A company that grows from $1.4M to $100M in four years without taking on debt, without bringing in outside investors, and while maintaining its own manufacturing is a company that is doing something right at a fundamental level.

You can disagree with a lot of things. It is hard to disagree with that.
